FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport with a different track width, in particular to systems for transferring wheel sets from a track of one width to another. Proposed system comprises frame communicated via track variation mechanism with wheeled trolleys and vehicle speed control unit. Track variation mechanism is composed by crack-knee slide-crank mechanism. Element with freedom of axial movement is connected with pneumatic cylinder. Pneumatic cylinder is connected to the pneumatic system of the train and is controlled by a two-way distributor. Wheel pairs on different sides are connected by means of telescopic spring-loaded semi-axles. At change of axle the half-axles move in transverse direction, closing the corresponding control contacts of distributor. Air enters pneumatic cylinder, bogie track is changed. Speed control unit controls speed of train at track variation section in compliance with limitations. If required, control unit interacts with power plant or train braking system.
EFFECT: enabling expansion of operational capabilities due to optimized speed of train on gauge changing section.
