DEVICE FOR MOVING WHEEL PAIRS FROM ONE TRACK TO ANOTHER Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC B61F7/00

Abstract RU 2631167 C1

FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: system contains a track of different widths, a frame connected with wheel bogies via a track variation mechanism. The movement mechanism is made on the front and rear axes of the frame and represents crack-knee slide-crank mechanisms. Wheel axes are pivotally mounted on extra ties parallel to the frame axis. A displacement drive is made in the form of a cylinder which includes a piston and a rod. The free end of the rod is fixed to a rectangular frame. The rodless and rod ends of the cylinder are connected with a working medium supply source by means of pipelines through a two-way three-position distributor. The track of greater width tapers and gently converts into the track of smaller width. An additional element is installed between the track of greater width, which is made in the form of an abutment and continuation of the track of smaller width.

EFFECT: expanded operational capabilities.
