FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring of technical condition of ammunition, specifically to methods of nondestructive inspection of articles. Measuring and information system for determining degree of destruction of external surface of ammunition by stain corrosion is a structure consisting of a laboratory table with lodgments, placed on it with electric drive, protected in assembly with screw mechanism, and electric drive of scanner, fixed on bracket with guides, as well as a PC with an operational-matching module, which includes in-series connected to each other integrating module (adder), a functional module, an input connected to the output of the integrating module (adder) and simultaneously connected to the input of a logic module connected to the display and the input of the accumulator. Angular velocity, imparted to the ammunition by the electric drive protected in assembly with the screw mechanism, and the linear speed of the scanner movement relative to its outer surface, which is communicated by the electric drive, are adjusted depending on the caliber and length of the inspected article.

EFFECT: increased completeness and accuracy of measurements of the area of corrosion spots of the affected external surface of ammunition and its elements, which are complex and volume forms, for collection, automated processing, storage and transmission of obtained information on control of technical state of items.
