SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metalworking and can be used in drilling a channel for placing a temperature sensor in a cooking vessel containing a bowl with a bottom. Drilling method comprises a preliminary drilling step using a drill with diameter D1 for making first part (13) of channel (11) and a deep drilling step using drill bit (37) with a diameter D2 to make second portion (14) of channel (11), where D1 is greater than D2, and the ratio between D1 and D2 ranges from 1.005 to 1.05.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases accuracy of making a channel for accommodating a temperature sensor in the vessel.
