SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of smart cards containing at least one electronic module, namely an integrated circuit, inside the housing of the card and the plastic materials, from which the card body is formed. Invention also relates to a method of making a plastic layer for inserting a plurality of electronic modules when forming a plurality of cards. Plastic sheet for making a plurality of smart cards, which include a plurality of electronic modules, is formed from a first material having a first hardness or a first Vicat softening temperature, and second material, having second hardness, smaller than first hardness, and, respectively, a second Vicat softening temperature which is lower than the first Vicat softening temperature. Second material is located in a plurality of zones of the plastic sheet, which are intended for at least partial insertion of the said plurality of electronic modules by introducing this plurality of electronic modules into the second material when making a plurality of smart cards.
EFFECT: invention improves the method of making smart cards.
