FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel control systems for internal combustion engines (ICE). Disclosed are methods and systems for increasing uniformity of starting operation of engine. In one example, the method for reducing noise, vibration and sharpness of an engine-generated fuel pump (NVH) comprises operating an engine with divided fuel injection and shifting towards an injection advance as the temperature of the engine coolant increases.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to achieve smoother start of engine, and also reduces frequency of false ignition outages.
