FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the engine building. Method for engine (10) includes providing flow of exhaust gases from special-purpose cylinder (4) of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), to catalytic neutraliser (72) by bypass channel (56) and to engine inlet via channel (50) of EGR. Relative flow is controlled in accordance with temperature of catalytic neutraliser (72) by bypass channel (56) and EGR channel (50) by means of bypass valve (65) by increasing relative flow along bypass channel (56) with corresponding reduction of flow through EGR channel (50) with drop of temperature of catalytic neutraliser (72) below threshold. Threshold temperature is activation temperature of catalytic neutraliser (72). Reduction of relative flow by bypass channel (56) with corresponding increase of flow through channel (50) of EGR when temperature of catalytic neutraliser (72) of threshold temperature is exceeded. Required flow rate is determined by bypass channel (56) to maintain threshold temperature of catalytic neutraliser (72). Mixture is enriched in a special EGR cylinder (4) depending on the temperature of catalytic neutraliser (72) and the required flow rate along bypass channel (56). Also disclosed is engine system.
EFFECT: technical result consists in maintaining the temperature of the catalytic neutraliser of exhaust gases above the activation temperature.
