FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in treating TMJ, planning of prosthetic repair and demonstration to the patient of the future size and esthetics of dentures and application as temporary prostheses. Digital occlusive splint is made of plastic PMMA, covers the entire dental arch with repetition of the dentition and comprises an occlusal surface completely repeating the occlusal surface of the opposite dentition. An anatomy of the dental structure is copied in the absence of deformation of the bones of the facial skeleton. A retention path of the splint fixation on the upper or lower jaw denture surface, which passes between the equatorial and pristavic lines, and with considerable destruction – more than ½ of the clinical length of the dental crown – along a cervical line of teeth. Fixation of splint due to elasticity of plastic PMMA, wherein the thickness of the splint is equal to the disconnection of the dentitions, and on the occlusal surface of the splint there are planes for repositioning the position of the lower jaw and contact surfaces for forming a balanced occlusion.

EFFECT: use of an occlusive splint allows improving quality of diagnosing and treating dysfunctions TMJ, reduce the probability of recurrences.
