SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used for diagnostics and treatment of instability of articulation system in patients when planning treatment of patients with temporomandibular disorders (TMD). According to the manufactured individual metric patterns, the trajectory of the frontal guide from the intertubercal position to the anterior occlusion is determined during the laterotrusion of the lower jaw, from which the design occlusal surface of the stabilizing splint is modelled.

EFFECT: method enables detecting the borders of the pathological muscular musculature pattern, determining the difference between the actual and projected laterotrusion trajectory and establishing conditions for unobstructed movement of the lower jaw, also enables clinically determining the functional properties of the TMD and the selection of a method of correcting the angle of the articular path, improving the quality of treatment by determining the individual optimal trajectory of the frontal guide, the back contact position and the occlusal backlash of the chewing group of teeth.
