FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reducing the visibility of weapons and military equipment, misleading the means of destruction with high-precision weapons, ensuring secrecy from thermal imaging, optoelectronic means of aerospace reconnaissance, removing and disrupting aiming infrared homing heads. Thermal simulator contains the first thermal image registration unit (1) connected in series, focused on the simulated object, receiving-transmitting device (4), comparing device (5), controlling device (9), the outputs of which are connected to the corresponding inputs of thermoelectric modules (10) placed on the surface of object simulator (7), second thermal image recording unit (6), oriented towards the simulator (7), the output of which is connected to the second input of comparing device (5). In this case, thermoelectric modules (10) are made in the form of three thermoelements located one above the other and in contact with each other, united in one cascade. Additionally, background compensation unit (3) of the simulated object and background compensation unit (8) of the simulator are introduced, the inputs of which are connected to the outputs of first (1) and second (6) thermal image recording units, respectively, and the outputs to the first and second inputs of comparator (5) respectively.
EFFECT: formation of a thermal contrast of the simulator corresponding to the thermal contrast of the object due to the expansion of the range of temperatures reproduced on the simulator that actually exist on the simulated object is ensured.
