SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to magnetic field sensors and, in particular, to use of response of magnetic field sensor for diagnostics. Sensor diagnostics device comprises a first magnetic field sensor to provide a first output signal as a response to a magnetic field generated by a magnet coupled to the movable part of the process control device; a second magnetic field sensor for providing a second output signal as a response to the magnetic field; and a processor configured to use the first and second output signals by comparing the first and second output signals with the stored data to thereby generate diagnostic information associated with the response of the process control device.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of sensors diagnostics.
