FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tests of vehicles. Vehicle stability test method consists in the fact that the wheels of one of the vehicle sides are installed on the fixed platform of the elevator, and the wheels of the other side are installed on the platform scales installed on the vehicle lift platform. Tilting moment is created relative to longitudinal axis of vehicle using elevator, kinematically connected by means of at least two hoisting sling with sprung part of vehicle. To prevent uncontrolled overturning of vehicle and spontaneous rolling by inertia of rolling stock, safety system is used. Safety system consists of at least four safety ropes thrown through appropriate safety units. One side of tested vehicle is lifted to its position close to unstable balance. Mass of vehicle is fixed by platform scales of sliding platform. Further, angle is measured ϕ roll of its sprung masses and determining angle αss its static transverse stability.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of angle determination αss of vehicle due to reduction of measurement error of roll angle ϕ sprung mass of vehicle.
