FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric transmissions for locomotives. Two-axis drive comprises traction motor and gear. Traction motor is arranged between two drive axles. Axis of rotation of traction motor extends transversely, in particular, perpendicular to drive axes. At that, traction motor drive shaft drives wheel pair shaft via gear. At that entire biaxial drive is arranged in case unit with two case sections. Both case sections have flanged surfaces facing each other, on which case sections can be fixed, wherein flange plane passes perpendicular or parallel to drive shaft.
EFFECT: simplified design of traction drive.
