FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of evaluating the quality of oilseed treatment for selection. Method includes obtaining three matrixes of components by colors with data characterizing size of object by scanning color image with resolution of file jpg and resolution of not less than 600 dpi per inch and computer processing using program Mathcad with function ReadRGB, determining total area of all objects on flat surface by summation of all values of matrix of components of same color in pixels, wherein the object used is weighed portions of sunflower seeds in an amount of not less than three, which are leveled in the form of a rectangle with a layer thickness of not more than 1 cm, each weight is scanned and obtained weights matrices are summed to obtain average area occupied by wastes, marked with green, average area occupied by seeds, denoted by blue color, and by the ratio of the areas occupied with wastes and seeds, the quality of seeds cleaning is determined, which at 99 % corresponds to 1 class, 98 % – to 2 class of purity and 97 % – to 3 class of purity of seeds, seeds of 2 and 3 classes of purity are sent for additional treatment.

EFFECT: reduced time and labor input for determination of oilseed seeds purification quality for selection.
