SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of reducing pressure in the intake manifold of a vehicle engine. EFFECT: improved operation of vehicle vacuum action systems; used approach may not lead to increase in fuel consumption in most cases, since the approach used can be used only in selected operating conditions of the engine, which occur infrequently; used approach can improve degree of driver satisfaction due to reduction of probability of occurrence of sensation of firmness of brake pedal.
