FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of preparing catalysts of protective layer arranged in front of main hydrotreating catalyst of hydrocarbon raw material to prevent its poisoning with silicon compounds contained in hydrofining feed. Described is a method of preparing a catalyst which contains molybdenum and nickel in the form of nickel aluminum-getero-polymolybdate with Andersen structure NiH[Al(OH)6Mo6O18] – 5.5–7.7 wt% and in the form of nickel molybdate NiMoO4 – 4.6–6.4 wt%; carrier – balance; wherein the support contains, wt%: aluminum borate Al3BO6 with norbergite structure – 5.0–25.0; γ-Al2O3 – balance. Method involves impregnating a support containing the following in wt%: aluminum borate Al3BO6 with norbergite structure – 5.0–25.0; γ-Al2O3 – balance, aqueous solution of bimetallic complex compound [Ni(H2O)2]2[Mo4O11(C6H5O7)2], followed by drying, tempering, impregnation with water and drying. Obtained catalyst has specific surface area of 245–275 m2/g, pore volume 0.50–0.55 cm3/g, average pore diameter of 80–85 Å, represents granules in cross-section in form of trefoil with size from top to middle of base 2.5±0.2 mm and length up to 10 mm. Described also is a method of producing a sulphided catalyst containing wt%: Mo – 5.0–7.0; Ni – 1.7–2.3; S – 3.4–4.7; carrier – balance; wherein the support contains, wt%: aluminum borate Al3BO6 with norbergite structure – 5.0–25.0; γ-Al2O3 – balance.

EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a catalyst having high capacity for silicon dioxide and high resistance to decontamination under conditions of hydrofining of hydrocarbon material.
