FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical dosimetry and can be used for indirect determination of absorbed dose of gamma radiation. Method for determining absorbed dose of gamma-radiation involves measuring the optical transmission of dosimetric fluid from wave number and calculating the absorbed dose of gamma-radiation based on the calibration curve of the value of light transmission at constant wave number, wherein dosimetric fluid is a two-phase system consisting of dichlorobenzene and elementary sulphur in ratio of components corresponding to saturation of sulphur in solvent, wt. %: dichlorobenzene 98,0–99,0, elemental sulphur 1,0–2,0.

EFFECT: technical result is high sensitivity and accuracy of determining absorbed dose of gamma-radiation in range of 0,1–2,0 Mrad, ensuring stability of optical transmission.
