FIELD: chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to a technology for carbon nanomaterials, in particular to a technology for mechanic producing graphene-containing suspensions. Graphene materials, in particular nanoplatelets (GNP) and composites based on them are widely used, in particular for the modification of plastic lubricants. The method consists in producing a mixture of graphite and an organic liquid, dispersing it by means of intensive shear deformation under pressure by passing said mixture through a gap between the stationary body and the rotating disc. According to the invention, the mixture is treated in a rod drum mill for 15 to 40 hours prior to dispersion after which it is centrifuged for 10 to 60 minutes at average centrifugal accelerations in a mixture of 40 to 45 ms-2, and a portion of the sediment is removed, a bowl effluent in the amount of 1/6 to 1/4 of the total volume of the mixture is directed to the dispersion unit. The device for implementing a method for producing graphene-containing suspensions comprises a unit for supplying a graphite-liquid mixture, which is installed at the input of the rod drum mill, the output of which is connected to the loading opening of the centrifuge, provided with a sediment discharge nozzle and a bowl effluent discharge nozzle which is connected to the loading opening of the dispersion unit via an intermediate container with a metering pump. A disk is installed in the dispersion unit in the body, said disk being connected to a drive shaft, the rotation drive of which is provided with a bearing unit which is fastened in the central bore of the body lid coaxially installed in the upper part of the body in such a way that the gap between the bottom and the lid can be adjusted. The bottom of the body is provided with annular grooves and the bottom surface of the disc is provided with annular projections, wherein the projections are equidistantly arranged in grooves with lateral gaps of less than 0.2 mm. The loading opening is arranged in the central part of the bottom and the discharge opening is arranged in the lateral wall of the body above the top edge of the disc.
EFFECT: proposed method and device enable producing graphene-containing suspensions in a continuous mode, without the graphite being intercalated with acid, with a smaller number of layers of graphene structures.
