SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely, to ships, the purpose of which is detection of underwater objects. Underwater situation illumination vehicle is equipped with hydroacoustic radiator with hydroacoustic antenna lowered under water at preset depth, set of passive autonomous hydroacoustic stations (AHS) capable of detecting probing signals of a hydroacoustic radiator and echo signals reflected from underwater objects, apparatus for measuring characteristics of hydroacoustic conditions in the region of navigation, radio receiving equipment and hydroacoustic communication equipment for receiving messages from AHS, computer with a special program, allowing before the beginning of operation to calculate the required number, coordinates of stealthy mounted AHS, trajectory of ship maneuvering in the process of AHS arrangement, passing through all calculated AHS positions, optimal for current hydroacoustic conditions of installation depth of emitter and AHS, and during operation to calculate trajectories of detected underwater objects and determine their coordinates and parameters of motion.

EFFECT: increased area of the investigated area is achieved.
