FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, namely to compositions of homogeneous biodegradable films, which can be used for production of various items of industrial, household and medical purposes. Method for production of protein-polysaccharide biodegradable film is carried out by mixing 10 % aqueous solution of gelatine with 1-2 % solution of sodium alginate and plasticizer - glycerin, then cross-linking agent - 20 % aqueous solution of transglutaminase enzyme is added to mixture with subsequent stirring with magnetic stirrer no more than 2 minutes, wherein temperature of mixture should be 45-55 °C with further formation of film at room temperature. Invention increases strength of protein-polysaccharide biodegradable film in 2 times, stretching in 1.4 times, as well as fastens its biodegradability.

EFFECT: propose compositions of homogeneous biodegradable films.
