FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transport, namely, to repair methods of underwater pipelines, and can be used for recovery of defect sections of pipeline crossings through water obstacles. According to the disclosed method, a caisson is installed, insulation is cleaned on the repaired section of the pipeline, determining parameters of defects, estimating mechanical stresses, eliminating defects, estimating residual life of pipeline metal at sections adjacent to the defect. That is followed by application of insulation, quality control of insulation application. Additionally, after control of insulation application quality, reinforcing coupling is installed.
EFFECT: technical result is improved quality of repair of underwater passages of pipelines.
