FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in transport and during operation of road and agricultural machines. Method consists in simultaneous control during acceleration of position of fuel supply control, loading, speed and acceleration of vehicle or machine, external temperature and temperature of engine oil. Note here that preset speeds of acceleration and minimum duration of complete actuation of fuel feed control are pre-set, and ranges of possible variation during operation of vehicle or machine loading, ambient temperature and temperature of engine oil are divided into intervals. Traction-speed properties are evaluated under conditions of initial speed matching to one of specified intervals and complete actuation of fuel supply control member with duration of not less than specified for each combination of acceleration initial speed intervals, loading, ambient temperature and temperature of engine oil based on results of comparison of acceleration of vehicle or machine with value of acceleration, recorded at initial stage of vehicle or machine operation and after engine replacement or overhaul for the same combination of intervals of initial speed, loading, ambient temperature and temperature of engine oil.
EFFECT: providing automatic control of traction-speed properties of a vehicle or a machine, which enables to detect engine and transmission faults at the early stages of their development directly in process of performance.
