FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in transport during operation of vehicles. Method consists in the fact that an onboard software and hardware system is pre-installed on the vehicle. Duration of the control cycle is set, and the ranges of possible change of parameters of the operating conditions of the vehicle are divided into narrow intervals. First, using the software and hardware system, in each of the selected operating modes, the operating conditions indices are recorded and the fuel consumption basic values are accumulated in the specified limits of the fixed load modes, engine idling and vehicle acceleration at maximum fuel supply. Combinations of intervals, which contain registered parameters of operation mode and operating conditions, are automatically identified, and basic values of fuel consumption during the control cycle are recorded for each of the combinations. In operation in each of operating conditions and operating conditions modes actual fuel consumption is recorded per control cycle, and based on the results of comparing the actual flow rate with the predetermined basic values under the respective operating conditions and operating conditions, the technical state of the vehicle is evaluated.

EFFECT: providing the most complete coverage of the technical state of the vehicle as a whole, and not only the power supply system with the automatic control of the technical condition, with the operator's participation in the control being excluded.
