SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely, to couplings. Double friction coupling with hydraulic control comprises housing, hydraulic cylinders with pistons, packs of friction discs of different diameters. Hydraulic cylinders have main and additional chambers located on opposite sides of pistons. Friction discs packs have different diameters. Some package disks of larger diameter are engaged with housing rim connected to drive shaft flange, other friction disks of this package are engaged with drum rim. One discs of the packet of smaller diameter are engaged with a tubular ledge made on the housing, other friction disks of this packet are engaged with a gear rim of the drum. Main chamber of hydraulic cylinder, in which piston of larger diameter is installed, is located between this piston and rim. Additional chamber is located between the piston and the cover. Main chamber of hydraulic cylinder, in which piston of smaller diameter is installed, is located between this piston and side wall of housing, and its additional chamber is located between piston and cover installed inside this piston on hub of housing and fixed thereon from axial movement of thrust ring.
