FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to veterinary science. Stenting the urethra with the help of a medical ureteral stent Percuflex Plus 4.8F, 1.6 mm. Additional openings of oval shape with diameter of 1–1.2 mm are applied on proximal part of stent. Before introducing into the urethra, the stiffener is additionally rigged and linearly shaped using a metal stylet from the Kruuse Buster urethral catheter for cats with diameter of 10 mm; the stent is removed on 5th day.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of bladder stenting for a longer period of time without risk of uterine injuries and the appearance of its stricture in the future, improves urine outflow and prevents obturation with urolites of the urethra.
