FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a catalyst which is suitable for removing arsenic from hydrocarbon material, a method for production thereof and a method for hydrotreating hydrocarbon feedstock containing arsenic compounds. Catalyst composition contains: aluminum oxide-based support; embedded layer of molybdenum component; embedded layer of phosphorus component; embedded layer of nickel component; upper layer of nickel component. At that, in said catalyst composition atomic ratio of nickel metal to metal molybdenum on surface, determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy in external 1–12 nm catalyst surface, is more than 1.8, and availability coefficient of nickel, which is ratio of Ni/Mo on surface to total ratio of Ni/Mo, is more than 1.2. Method of producing catalyst composition includes: (a) providing a formed carrier particle based on aluminum oxide; (b) impregnating said formed support particle based on aluminum oxide with a nickel component, a molybdenum component and a phosphorus component to obtain a first impregnated particle; (c) calcining said first impregnated particle to obtain a first calcined particle; (d) impregnating said first calcined particle with a nickel component to obtain a second impregnated particle; and (e) calcining said second impregnated particle to obtain said catalyst composition.
EFFECT: technical result is a high ability of the catalyst to absorb arsenic while maintaining good hydrodesulphurisation activity.
