DESIGN OF LENS WITH CENTRAL TREATMENT AREA WITH HIGH POSITIVE OPTICAL POWER AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING AND/OR SLOWING PROGRESSION OF MYOPIA Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G02C7/04

Abstract RU 2694777 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: ophthalmic lens for retarding, controlling or preventing myopia progression, as well as for minimizing the halo effect, comprises an optical zone including a central region in the form of a treatment zone of myopia progression and containing an additional optical force in the range of +0.5 dioptre to +20.0 dioptres relative to the negative optical power required for myopia correction, at least one peripheral area surrounding the central area and comprising a myopic vision correction portion with negative optical power for myopic vision correction, and an outer zone surrounding the optical zone. Diameter of central zone is in range from 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a balance between obtaining control myopia and adequate vision and low halo effect.
