LENS CONFIGURATION INDEPENDENT OF THE SIZE OF THE PUPIL, AND A METHOD FOR PREVENTING AND/OR SLOWING PROGRESSION OF MYOPIA Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G02C7/06 G02C7/04 A61F2/14

Abstract RU 2662027 C1

FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises forming a lens comprising a central optical zone, correcting the foveal vision in myopia; first peripheral zone surrounding the central optical zone and having an optical force, which increases to the first peak in comparison with the optical power in the central optical zone, located at a distance from 0.75 mm to 2.0 mm from the central optical zone; and a second peripheral zone surrounding the first peripheral zone and having a second peak as compared to the optical power in the central optical zone, located at a distance of 2.0 mm to 3.5 mm from the central optical zone. Optical forces of the second and first peaks are different.

EFFECT: formation of the profile of the optical force that provides a slowing, restraining or preventing the progression of myopia for the pupil with a diameter of approximately 3 mm to 7 mm.
