FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, namely, to method of processing titanium concentrates produced from rare-metal raw material in ore-and-thermal furnaces, in particular, to method of processing of dust wastes formed at cleaning of gases of ore-thermal furnace. Method involves two-stage gas cleaning first in cyclones with return of trapped dust to melting process, then in metal-fabric filters to produce dust. Dust after extraction from metal-fabric filter is leached with sodium hydroxide solution at ratio of dust to sodium hydroxide solution equal to 1:(3–4), while heating and continuous stirring to produce pulp. After that pulp is filtered to separate enriched cake. Then enriched cake is washed with water and obtained pasty mixture is directed for granulation to produce granules and further processing.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce dust discharge from the chlorinator, to reduce deposits of salts in the condensation system and thus to increase extraction of valuable components from dust wastes.
