FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method includes removal of effluent gases produced in process of melting via a plant for afterburning of gases, vertical and inclined gas ducts with simultaneous stepped cooling of gases with the help of a system of evaporation cooling, double-stage treatment of gases from dust and hazardous admixtures in cyclones with return of the captured dust for the melting process and in metal and fabric filters. At the same time cooling of effluent gases in the gas afterburning plant and at each stage of the gas duct is carried out evenly with temperature drop at the inlet and outlet of the coolant from the evaporation cooling system caissons equal to 60-70°C, and gas temperature in the gas afterburning plant is maintained as equal to 1300-1700°C, in the vertical gas duct - equal to 810-1000°C, and in the inclined gas duct - as equal to 350-500°C.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase plant service life and to improve efficiency of furnace operation due to elimination of manual labour used in cleaning of gas ducts, and the plant service life increases up to 5 years.
