FIELD: fire safety; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire fighting, in particular to foaming compositions, and can be used for fire extinguishing and prevention of ignition of combustible substances. Disclosed two-component composition as a fire-extinguishing and fire-retardant agent for producing a dense foam includes a silicate component containing an aqueous solution of sodium liquid glass with a silicate module of 2.3–3.6 and a foaming agent and an acid hardener, wherein the silicate component further contains sodium hydroxide, urea, a water-soluble ether with terminal hydroxyl groups or a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol and sulphanol, and the acid hardener is an orthophosphoric acid with concentration of 75–85 % in amount of 4–8 % of the weight of the silicate component, wherein the silicate component and the acid curing agent are contained separately from each other before feeding and combining.

EFFECT: disclosed composition enables to form a composition which meets the required requirements for foaming compounds for fire extinguishing and fire protection, having low viscosity and high adhesion, with low curing time and stable during storage.
