FIELD: fire extinguishing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire extinguishing, in particular to water-based compositions used to extinguish forest fires and to protect wood, wooden structures and materials from fire. An aqueous solution for extinguishing fires contains water, liquid glass with a modulus of 2.5-3.2 and a surfactant. It additionally contains a thickener - carboxymethyl cellulose and a fire retardant - azofoska. As a surfactant, the solution contains a mixture of an alkyl polyglycoside and sodium alpha-olefin sulfonate, taken in a weight ratio of 1:1, with the following content of components, wt.%:
EFFECT: invention provides a high fire-retardant ability of the solution for extinguishing fires.
