SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to oral care. Composition for oral care contains serine in amount of 0.05 wt. % to 0.39 wt. % of total weight of composition, zinc oxide in amount of 1 wt. %, zinc citrate in amount of 0.5 wt. % of total weight of composition and abrasive, where abrasive is chosen from silicon oxide or natural calcium carbonate. Also disclosed is a method for reducing or inhibiting the formation of biofilm in the oral cavity, involving contacting the oral cavity with the oral care composition.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides reduced biofilm formation in the oral cavity.
