FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining a composite magnetic material in the form of particles with a magnetic iron-containing core and a sorption-active coating by hydrolytic synthesis includes processing of an iron (III) salt solution with an ammonia solution at pH=10 with the further peptisation of the obtained Fe(OH)3 sediment with hydrochloric acid at pH=9 and temperature of 90-95°C. The solution of sodium silicate is added to the obtained colloidal solution at the speed of 5-50 mmole/l·hour. The formed disperse particles are precipitated with a mixture of sodium silicate and chloride. Then the solution of sodium silicate is added, supporting the value pH=8 by the addition of hydrochloric acid. The reaction mixture with a sediment is brought to the value pH=5 and exposed at the temperature of 95-100°C for 1-5 hours. The sediment is separated on the filter, washed and subjected to thermal processing at 100-800°C.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to extend the range of sorption and magnetic properties of the obtained material, increase ecological safety with the simultaneous simplification of technology.
