FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiolocation and can be used to estimate characteristics of scattering of electromagnetic waves by an object, to recognize differences in given characteristics between objects moving at different speeds, detection, evaluation of coordinates and recognition of objects. Said result is achieved by simultaneous measurement of all elements of polarization scattering matrix (PSM), which increases signal-to-noise ratio by two times, as well as due to elimination of method error of measurement error of PSM elements associated with measurement of its columns at different moments of time, which increases accuracy of result of processing vector radio signals in full polarization radar stations.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring PSM when processing vector radio signals in full polarization radar stations.
