FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a central optical zone having a posterior surface profile for changing the shape of the central cornea, and a peripheral optical zone having a rear surface profile different from the central optical area rear surface profile, and comprising posterior and anterior surfaces providing, in combination, a refractive effect of the geometry of the mid-peripheral cornea treated with the eye after changing the shape of the central cornea, and the refractive effect of the lachrymal lens formed between the device and the corneal surface, the relative refractive effect of the positive optical power of said peripheral optical zone for focusing axial and/or off-axis light incident on the peripheral optical zone in a focal point located in front of the peripheral retina.
EFFECT: technical result is change in the shape of the central part of the cornea and/or modifying the medium-peripheral optical force by changing the shape of the middle-peripheral cornea.
