HIGH-RESOLUTION INTRAOCULAR LENS WITH INCREASED DEPTH OF FIELD OF VIEW Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61F2/16

Abstract RU 2827085 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: described is an effective aperture built into an intraocular lens. Optical beams which cross the effective aperture are widely scattered over the retina, thereby preventing the light from reaching detectable levels on the retina. Use of an effective aperture helps to eliminate monochromatic and chromatic aberrations, giving high-definition images on the retina. For a given definition of acceptable vision, the depth of the field of view increases in the optical zone of a larger diameter. In addition to this, thinner intraocular lenses can be made, since the optical zone can have a smaller diameter.

EFFECT: possibility to reduce corneal incisions and simplify implantation surgery.
