FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for conducting seismic survey works. Seismic detection profile includes one or more identifiable element (elements) (112) arranged in a row, and a telemetry communication line (315) connecting the element (elements) along the row to transmit seismic data from at least one of the elements (elements) to the data recorder and the identification data to topology controller (210). Each of the elements includes the corresponding first identification unit (256) connected to the telemetric communication line to provide the corresponding first identifier to the topology controller. Seismic detection system also includes a processor which requests an identifiable element (elements) with respect to their respective identifiers, determines a seismic detection profile layout using the received identifiers and presents an indication of a specific layout. Method of controlling a seismic detection profile includes transmitting a request along a telemetric communication line, detecting whether the corresponding identifier of one of the elements was received or not, repeating until completion and determining and displaying the layout.

EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of obtained data by providing location of faulty components on seismic reception plait.
