FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for heavy oil hydroconversion, essentially comprising a reactor, a vapour-liquid separator and a desorption section of conversion products, located outside the reactor, containing desorbing gas supply pipeline in a certain place of connecting pipeline between upper part of reactor and vapour-liquid separator, wherein said connecting pipeline is inclined upwards at least from connection point of supply pipeline and connecting pipeline with inclination from 2 to 20 % relative to horizontal plane. Invention also relates to a method of hydroconversion of heavy oils.
EFFECT: technical result is achievement of liquid/vapour equilibrium before introduction into vapour-liquid separator, increased efficiency of mass exchange, increased carrying capacity of system and improved quality of products.
