FIELD: heavy oil hydroprocessing.
SUBSTANCE: present invention comprises the steps of feeding a molybdenum-containing catalyst precursor, heavy oils and a hydrogen-containing stream to the slurry phase hydroprocessing section. The hydroprocessing reaction is carried out to form a reaction effluent, which is then separated in a separator at high pressure and high temperature into a vapor phase and a slurry phase. The separated vapor phase is then sent to a gas treatment section with the function of separating the liquid fraction from the hydrogen-containing gas. The slurry phase is then sent to a separation section which has the function of separating vacuum gas oil (VGO), heavy vacuum gas oil (HVGO), light vacuum gas oil (LVGO), atmospheric gas oil (AGO) from a heavy organic product stream that contains asphaltenes, a raw feedstock, a catalyst, and a solid formed during the hydroprocessing reaction. Some of the heavy organic products are reused in the reaction section, while the remainder forms the wash stream. The wash stream is heated at a temperature greater than or equal to 185°C and not higher than 220°C, and then the heated wash stream is subjected to precipitation by lowering the temperature in a progressive and controlled manner to a minimum temperature of 100°C, without agitating the wash stream, so as to form a light a phase called the purified component, and a heavy phase as a function of density. The purified component is reused in the slurry phase hydroprocessing section.
EFFECT: increase in the value of the flushing flow.
