FIELD: protection of material.
SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining an elongated protective layer of a shaping material of a workpiece, in which a protective layer is applied on a frame coiled or sheet material. Protective layer is applied outside the framework rolled or sheet material on one side or on both sides to form a freely lying edge, which is not attached to the carcass material. Further, the multilayer material is cut along the workpiece contour. In areas where elongated protective layer is obtained, cutting is performed directly on free-lying edge considering allowance for elongation of blank protective layer.
EFFECT: invention provides protection of the material end for the formed container.
