FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed shut-off and launching device (hereinafter referred to as SLD) relates to fire-prevention equipment, namely to the shut-off valve of the fire-extinguishing module, which performs maintenance (storage) of the fire-extinguishing substance under pressure in the balloon and its release when the starting pulse arrives from external activation devices. Disclosed group of inventions includes a shut-off and launching device (SLD) of a fire extinguishing installation and a method of operation of the SLD as a part of a gas fire extinguishing module. Proposed device comprises housing with cover accommodating nipple valve, wherein cover is locked in housing by locking screw, inside the housing there is a piston with a cup-type seal, sealing lining of the piston seat ensures tightness of the charged module, in the hole of the capillary channel there is installed a steel calibrated wire, pressure gauge connection unit enables mounting of pressure control devices for visual monitoring of excess pressure in module, installed protective ring prevents manometer from mechanical damage, wherein in order to protect the module from emergency overload with excess pressure, the SLD is equipped with a membrane safety device with a burst safety membrane (MSD), wherein the structure of the SLD provides the MSD connection to the gas phase of the balloon by the internal channel, wherein the SLD has a channel for connecting the pneumatic launch, and the opening of the pneumatic launch channel is closed by a plug, wherein the plug is made double-sided: when one of the sides is installed it performs the function of a plug, and when the other side is installed, it functions as a locking bolt, wherein locking bolt blocks possibility of piston lifting during transportation and installation of gas fire-extinguishing module, protecting SLD from unauthorized actuation, wherein the outlet nozzle of the SLD is closed by a transport plug connected to the housing by a chain, wherein the pressure relay connection unit, in general, is intended for mounting a discrete pressure sensor for remote monitoring of pressure drop of the propellant in the module below a predetermined value, at that, O-ring provides tightness of threaded joint of inlet nozzle and ball necks. At that, retaining screw allows locking the siphon tube into the latter.
EFFECT: provision of versatility during use, provision of increased convenience during operation and minimization of service and restoration of operability of a product not only at specialized stations, but also by specialists of service organizations at consumer facilities, increased safety and reliability during storage periods, installation and operation of the product at consumer facilities, reduced losses of FEA and, consequently, its quantity.
