Method, in which a sales area comprises a plurality of display labels that correspond to a commodity, are located near a location associated with said article and have a label identifier, method includes steps of, at which to determine the place of the display label: reading by a reading device a sequence of label identifiers, including at least two label identifiers, which display electronic labels are adjacent in the direction of the sales area places, wherein the place of one of the display electronic labels is to be determined, and the other display electronic label has a known place, transmitting the sequence of identifiers to the computer system, conformity data are updated based on a sequence of label identifiers, determining: goods associated with labels of the sequence of labels, corresponding places of said goods based on the order of labels in the sequence of labels.
EFFECT: automation of conformity data updating between merchandise and places of the sales area.
