FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a vacuum chamber (VC) and a blanket, which are elements of a thermonuclear reactor (TNR) or a demonstration thermonuclear neutron source (DEMO-TNS). Vacuum chamber of thermonuclear reactor consists of housing formed by inner and outer shells, intracavity volume with metal structures and circulating heat carrier, circulation system consisting of pipelines for supply and removal of heat carrier, heat exchanger and pump. Heat carrier used is a solution of lithium-containing material, or a solution of minor actinides, or a solution of a raw material; the circulation system includes a branch pipe with branch pipes for bypassing a part of the solution and supplying the solution to a circulation system, which is installed in front of the heat exchanger on the pipeline for removing solution.
EFFECT: simple design of the blanket and the entire DEMO-TNS unit and reduced neutron loss from the plasma.
