Disclosed are applications of a combination containing an effective dose of the composition of omega-3 fatty acids in the form of Epanova® and an effective dose of the SGLT-2 inhibitor – dapagliflozin, for treating NASH in a subject with established or suspected NASH diagnosis,
to reduce liver fat content in a subject diagnosed with type II diabetes mellitus and having high liver fat content, to reduce liver fat content and reduce liver inflammation in a subject, to arrest progression of hepatic fibrosis in a subject, to stop the progression of NAFLD and/or NASH.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides improving the NAFLD activity in a subject.
