FIELD: feed industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to fodder additive or fodder additives. Composition which is not decomposed in the rumen, and which is suitable for ingestion of ruminants, contains a compound based on non-protein nitrogen and an agent which does not undergo decomposition in the rumen, which provides the passage of the scar with the non-protein nitrogen-based compound. Non-decomposed agent represents a coating surrounding the non-protein nitrogen-based compound. Coating consists of hydrogenated vegetable oil, and the non-protein nitrogen based compound is one or more compounds selected from a group consisting of urea; ammonium salts; methyleneurea, biuret, acetamide, butyramide, dicyanoamide, formamide, ethylene urea, isobutanol dimauride, lactosyl urea, propionamide, uric acid and urea phosphate, where the ratio of the NPN-based compound to the coating ranges from 83:17 to 75:25. Method of producing a composition, which does not decompose in a rumen, involves the steps of: a) providing particles containing a non-protein nitrogen based compound in a drum device for applying a coating, b) heating the particles from step a) to a temperature in the range from a value which is lower by 10 °C of the lower limit of the melting range of the non-degradable agent to a lower limit of the melting range of the non-decomposable agent, c) providing a fused, non-decomposed agent in a reservoir outside the drum device for applying a coating, d) heating the melted, non-decomposed agent from step c) to a temperature in the range from the upper end of the melting range of the non-degradable agent to a value which is higher by 10 °C than the upper limit of the melting range of the non-decomposable agent, e) applying molten non-decomposed agent from step d) to particles from step b) in rotary drum device for coating application, f) maintaining the temperature of the layer of particles at a temperature in the melting range of the non-degradable remedy and g) cooling the composition obtained at step f) or cooling the composition obtained at step f).
EFFECT: compositions and methods are suitable for ruminant animals, which are kept in severe climatic conditions and/or in remote places.
