SUBSTANCE: composition for feeding a ruminant animal contains a) a core containing or consisting of a biologically active ingredient selected from a list consisting of i) amino acids, amino acid derivatives, and/or amino acid salts, and/or their derivatives, ii) proteins, iii) peptides, iv) carbohydrates, v) vitamins or substances with similar functions, vi) probiotic microorganisms, vii) prebiotic food products, viii) choline and its salts and/or derivatives, and ix) polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and their salts and/or derivatives, and b) coating surrounding the specified core, where the specified coating contains one or more layers of a mixture containing saturated fat and fatty acid, while the specified coating contains from 70 wt.% to 80 wt.% of +/-10% saturated fat, and from 20 wt.% +/-10% to 30 wt.% of fatty acid, while the amount of each component is given per the total weight of coating, where the composition contains from 20 wt.% +/-10% to 30 wt.% +/-10% of coating per the total weight of the composition. A method for the production of this composition is also proposed. Feed for feeding a ruminant animal, containing this composition, is proposed. Feeding material for feeding a ruminant animal, containing this composition, is also proposed. A premix based on a feeding additive for feeding a ruminant animal, containing this composition, is proposed. A method for the supplementation of the diet of a ruminant animal with a biologically active ingredient includes a stage of provision of a ruminant animal with this composition, and/or feed, and/or feeding material, and/or a premix based on a feeding additive.

EFFECT: inventions allow for the provision of a composition for feeding a ruminant animal, which allows for the provision of a ruminant animal with as much metabolizable amount of a biologically active ingredient as possible.
