SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating. Solid electrolyte membrane is placed between the anode and the substrate, and an electric voltage is applied between the anode and the substrate, while the solid electrolyte membrane is pressed to the substrate to form a metal film on the substrate. In this method of forming a film, a solid electrolyte membrane is used, comprising a first phase of ion-permeable material and a second phase of material having an electrically insulating property and low permeability for metal ions, second phase is built into the first phase so as to be exposed to the surface of the membrane from the solid electrolyte opposite the substrate.
EFFECT: forming a metal film within the required size range on the substrate surface.
