FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio navigation and can be used to determine spatial coordinates of a moving object and control its movement in navigation areas. Method is characterized in that a station of a transmitting system comprising a plurality of at least two groups of stations with given and known on object coordinates of antenna phase centre (APC) stations, including at least four stations in each group, APC which for one group are located on one given straight line, and APC for another group is located on the other specified straight line, radio signals with individual characteristics for each station are transmitted. Radio signals on the object are received, identified and measured by one of the known methods of projection of speed and acceleration APC object on straight lines connecting APC object with APC stations, and based on said projections for each of four ordered stations of each of groups determine range from APC stations up to APC object according to measurement equations proposed in method. At these distances coordinates are determined APC object in a given Cartesian coordinate system. Simple equations of spatial coordinates of an object under certain conditions of stations location are given.
EFFECT: absence of requirements for provision of synchronized transmission of radio signals by stations and availability of a single time system transmitting radio signals of the system and object.
