FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio navigation and can be used to determine spatial coordinates of a moving object and control its movement in navigation areas. Method is characterized by that radio signals are transmitted from a moving object, received and identified by receiving system stations, comprising a set of at least two groups of stations with given coordinates of antenna phase centre (APC) of stations, including at least four stations in each group, APC which for one group are located on one given straight line, and APC for another group is located on another specified straight line. Projections of speed and acceleration are measured at stations APC object on straight lines connecting APC stations with APC object, and based on said projections for each of four ordered stations of each of groups determine range from APC object to APC stations according to measurement equations proposed in method. At these distances coordinates are determined APC object in a given Cartesian coordinate system. Simple equations of spatial coordinates of an object under certain conditions of stations location are given.
EFFECT: absence of the requirement of having a single time system which receives radio signals from the system and the object.
